Kota Bahru Travel Guide

Kota Bharu is on the north-east coast of Malaysia, not far from the Thai border. It is the capital of Kelantan region. It is mostly a jumping off point for the surrounding country side and the Perhentian Islands which lie off the coast about 30 kilometres to the south east. The city has a different cultural feel to the rest of Malaysia and visitors who choose to spend some time there can enjoy shopping for handicrafts and it’s famous kites, or exploring some of the traditional architecture, museums and cuisine of the city.
