The Moroccan Tourism Office (ONMT) has announced an ambitious plan to boost the country’s tourism industry in North America, targeting the region’s travel professionals with a major roadshow. With its rich history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture, Morocco has become an increasingly popular destination for tourists from around the world. In order to capitalize on this growing interest, the ONMT is launching a roadshow to promote Morocco as a top destination for North American travel professionals. The roadshow, which will be held in Toronto, Boston, and Chicago from April 7-10, will feature workshops and immersive experiences that showcase the best of Morocco. Participants will have the opportunity to experience Morocco’s atmosphere, cuisine, hospitality, craftsmanship, and culture firsthand, all designed to spark emotions and desires among travel professionals. The ONMT has also strengthened its cooperation with the airline industry to increase air routes between North American destinations and Morocco’s primary tourist destinations like Marrakech. Currently, there are several new routes being introduced, including Montreal-Marrakech with Air Transat, New York-Marrakech with United Airlines, and Atlanta-Marrakech with Delta Airlines. These new routes complement existing connections between Casablanca and major North American cities, such as New York, Washington, Miami, and Montreal.
To promote Morocco’s tourism assets, the ONMT has launched several initiatives in recent months. One such initiative was announced earlier this month to promote the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as part of the preparatory campaign for the tournament that will take place in Morocco later this year.
