Montreal Travel Guide

A four season city should be temperate in spring, warm in the summer, have bright leaves in autumn and white fluffy snowfall in winter. Montréal is a Canadian city that delivers all this and much more besides.

Montréal is one of North America’s most popular destinations in summer. It is home to non stop festivals, friendly and outgoing locals who love to welcome visitors, as well as architectural delights and natural attractions, all of which make Montréal an easy city to love. It is a walkers delight, a cyclists dream, a food lovers heaven and a music lovers haven.

In winter Montréal always delivers up to expectations. Ice skating in the great outdoors is guaranteed atop Mount Royal and the old Port. There is always plenty of snow which opens up plenty of potential for sledding, cross country skiing and other snow sports. If it is shopping your are looking for there is 33 km of interconnected underground shops, which also connect to the cities main cultural venues. Foodies should book in for the Montreal High Lights Festival, a mid winter celebration of food, music and culture around and under the city.

In spring Montréal bursts into flower with the Festival Mode & Design Montréal for the fashionistas amongst us, and the Montréal BikeFest for cycling enthusiasts. Autumn sets the visual senses ablaze with incredible displays of foliage and traditional Halloween celebrations such as the Great Pumpkin Ball for children.
