Parc Jean-Drapeau Travel Guide

Just minutes from the city centre, in the middle of the mighty St. Lawrence River, sit two island retreats. In summer and winter, Montrealers arrive to enjoy their paths and extensive shoreline.

By car, bike, metro, or boat, visitors come to relax on the beaches, picnic on the green spaces, bike the shady trails, or experience the wild rides and amusements of La Ronde. Since Expo 67, parc Jean-Drapeau has maintained a few pavilions. Those belonging to Quebec and France ultimately provided the venue for what became the Casino de Montreal in the 1990s.
